DSO meaning in oil and gas

DSO means Drill Site Operator. The ARCO heritage portion of Prudhoe Bay Field is operated by DSOs which are equivalent to WPOs (Well Pad Operators) on the WOA (Western Operations Area - operated historically by SOHIO).
