Key Control Activity

Some Control Activities (CA) are more critical than others in the process and contribute to a greater extent to the reliability of the financial reporting results. Key controls activities are identified as those Control Activities in a process that are most critical to the reliability of financial reporting. Key Control Activities provide a greater degree of assurance that the areas of most significant risk with respect to financial reporting are sufficiently addressed.
