FIMS meaning in oil and gas

This is an aviation term, related to the "Glass Cockpit" enabled by modern avioncs. This computer based technology permits comprehensive flight and aircraft system information management and display. Instead of the traditional multitude of independent instruments all flight and system data is selected and displayed as required on a series of monitor displays which can be configured as required by the crew.
