CPL - Chicap Pipe Line Co., is a joint venture company owned by Unocal Corp. (48.1%), a major oil and gas company (29.2%), and Enbridge (22.7%). The 200-mile Chicap line is a 26-inch crude pipeline originating near Patoka, in southern Illinois, and terminating near Mokena, a southwestern suburb of Chicago. Drawing crude oil from Capline at Patoka, the Chicap line also features connections to lines operated by Enbridge Pipeline, a major oil and gas company Pipelines at Manhattan, and to refineries at Lemont and Joliet.
