Control Objectives and Control Risks are largely interchangeable. Risks are what could prevent us from achieving our Control Objective and visa versa the Control Objective is to mitigate the risk. When a risk is identified a Control Objective is designed to address the risk. The Control Objective is what needs to be accomplished to mitigate that risk(s).
