BSV meaning in oil and gas

Valve, usually a gate valve or globe valve, that is equipped with a bellows device to contain possible fugitive emissions from the stem area. One end of the bellows is fixed to the rising stem, and the other end is fixed to a stationary part inside of the valve, usually the valve bonnet. The bellows is usually a supplement to valve stem packing.
